EVERY PERSON HAS A NAME

“He who does not learn from history is doomed to repeat it.” - George Santayana

The Jewish Federation of the Greater San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys invites you to join us for Every Person Has a Name.

The program begins at 7 p.m. with a commemoration ceremony, immediately followed by a 24-hour vigil of reading the names of those who perished during the Holocaust. This year’s event coincides with the UN International Holocaust Remembrance Day, and will feature an exhibition from Yad Vashem recognizing and honoring 30 Righteous Gentiles.

PLEASE NOTE:

If you are interested in being a volunteer reader but do not see any time slots available please send an email to Rebecca Russell at rrsussell@jewishsgpv.org. Please include your name, available time (in-person or on Zoom), and phone number. If any spots become available, Rebecca will reach out to you to let you know.

Keep in mind that you can also support this event by joining us in person, or virtually (on Facebook or Zoom), and listening as the names of those murdered during the Holocaust are being read by other volunteers. And lastly, you can also share this event on your social media.

We greatly appreciate your support.
