Four Jewish organizations have teamed up to help U.S. Jews take advantage of a new law allowing Americans to redirect up to $1,700 of their federal taxes each year to private schools.
 

Jewish Federations of North America collaborated with Prizmah, a network of 300 Jewish day schools, as well as the Orthodox Union and its Jewish school-choice advocacy group Teach Coalition to launch The Opportunity Fund for Jewish Education, which will collect and distribute donations in accordance with the law.

Eric Fingerhut, JFNA's CEO, is the SGO's interim CEO while the organization assembles a permanent staff.
 

"We are proud to be working together on behalf of the Jewish community around our shared goal of making Jewish day school affordable and accessible to more families," he said in a statement. "We look forward to launching a strong, fully operational scholarship granting organization on January 1, 2027."
